A hundred-metre long path leads from the parking place in Drago\u0161 sedlo to Vidikovac (viewpoint). Below Vidikovac, a woody, deep, somewhat terrifying in its beauty and almost completely inaccessible abyss suddenly opens. In the heart of this genuine beauty Skakavac waterfall roars, tumbling down into the abyss from over 70 metres in height. On the other side of the basin, stone cliffs of the Mount Volujak rise abruptly. On the left is the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina &#8211; Mount Magli\u0107 &#8211; and on the right, far in the distance over the Sutjeska canyon, peaks of Mount Zelengora can be seen. An unforgettable view! The view from Vidikovac (Drago\u0161 sedlo) to virgin forest Peru\u0107ica fills with pleasure. That small part of genuine nature with a rich multifunctional biodiversity is preserved for present and future generations. The altitude of Drago\u0161 sedlo is 1,306 m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Be\u0161kita<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the road from Tjenti\u0161te to Drago\u0161 sedlo (10 kms), there is the beginning of a hiking track going to the Be\u0161kita viewpoint, a few hundreds of metres before parking place in Drago\u0161 sedlo. It takes a 20-minute&#8217;s walk from the main road to Be\u0161kita viewpoint.\u00a0The viewpoint, which provides a fantastic view to Peru\u0107ica and the valley of heroes &#8211; Tjenti\u0161te, consists of two surfaces connected with a track. The viewpoint is at 1275 masl.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prijevor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The distance from the main road is about 13 kms. The road that goes to Vu\u010devo turns left, while the road to Prijevor goes to a thick forest to suddenly reach a plateau right below Mount Magli\u0107 summit.\u00a0Above is Mount Magli\u0107, and in front is a whole mountain peaks &#8211; Trnova\u010dki Durmitor, Studenac and Badanj in Mount Volujak and Zelengora heights in the distance. During summer it is possible to visit katuns in Prijevor and taste the local mountain cheese and kaymak with bread prepared under <em>sa\u010d<\/em> (a large metal or ceramic lid like a shallow bell with which bread dough or meat to be baked are covered, and over which ashes and live coals are placed). Prijevor viewpoint is at 1668 masl.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bori\u0107\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A 400-metre track going from Donje Bare Lake along the canyon edge leads to Bori\u0107 viewpoint (1680 masl). The viewpoint itself is located between Siljevica and Planinica but, no matter these peaks are higher than Bori\u0107, its position allows it to dominantly reaches a sharp slope towards Sutjeska, from where the whole canyon can be seen as well as mountains Vu\u010devo, Magli\u0107, Volujak, virgin forest Peru\u0107ica, Drago\u0161 sedlo and Prijevor, Tjenti\u0161ta valley, and ruins of old towns of Vratar, Vratac and Kosman.\u00a0The altitude of Bori\u0107 viewpoint is 1475 masl.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Gradac<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gradac or Grada\u010dka stijena (Gradac Rock) is located in the immediate vicinity of Fo\u010da, where in the past was a military fortress. This viewpoint is on the left side of Drina River, immediately above the town. The shortest road to Gradac is the one on the left bank near the bridge, by the Town Hall. There is an uphill track and it takes about 45-minute&#8217;s walk to get there.\u00a0This position offers a view to Drina River valley, about 10 kms long, and also to \u0106ehotina River as well as peaks of the mountains Magli\u0107, Zelengora, Treskavica , Ljubi\u0161nja\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The view to town panorama, the confluence of \u0106ehotina with Drina River, is especially beautiful.\u00a0 The altitude of Gradac Rock viewpoint is 889 masl.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zlatni Bor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Village Zavait is on the 25th kilometre towards Pljevlja. A road going from Zavait turns right towards Zlatni Bor, to the very edge of Tara River canyon. The view to canyons of Piva River and Tara River is marvellous as well as the point where Drina River is formed from the two rivers. Within the sight is also medieval town of Soko together with a monastery as well as Grand Duke of Bosnia Stjepan&#8217;s residence. If the weather is nice it is possible to see the peaks of mountains Bjelasica, Komovo, Maganik, Durmitor, Ljubi\u0161nja Magli\u0107, Volujak, Zelengora, Treskavica, Igman, Bjela\u0161nica, Romanija\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The altitude of this viewpoint is 989 m. Another viewpoint is in the close vicinity; it is a peak attractive to mountaineers, called Kuk, of 1110 masl.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dulin Brijeg<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a crossroads on the road going from Fo\u010da towards \u010celebi\u0107i and Fo\u010da, on the 35th kilometre in a place called Borje. \u010celebi\u0107i is on the left and on the right the road goes to Me\u0161trevac. About ten kilometres further, near a hamlet, the roads branches to the left &#8211; towards Gornji Me\u0161trevac and to the right &#8211; towards Vranovina, where after 2.5 kms the road reaches the Tara River canyon plateau at the village Dulin brijeg. There are a large number of viewpoints on the top of plateau (the highest is at 1384 masl), from where you can see the canyons of rivers Su\u0161ica, Tara i Piva, as well as the other side of the canyon, on Montenegro territory. The following mountains can be seen: Durmitor, Bio\u010da, Magli\u0107, Volujak, Zelengora, Treskavica as well as Piva Mountains with its surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>The mean height of the plateau is 1384 m and this is the place form which the best photos of Tara River canyon can be taken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Vranovina<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upstream of Dulin brijeg (three kilometres), along the canyon plateau, located is Vranovina village. The village is on the very border between Montenegro. The altitude of the plateau is 1340-1550 metres. Tara River canyon is 882 metre deep. Only 150 metres downstream is one of the most beautiful viewpoints from which he canyons of the rivers Tara, Piva, Su\u0161ica, as well as he mountains surrounding the landscape: Komovi, Durmitor, Magli\u0107, Volujak, Vu\u010devo, Bio\u010da, Zelengora, Treskavica\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katuni<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mountain animal farming on the territory of Sutjeska Nationak Park is known for centuries, and Ilyrians, Vlachs and Slovenes. Taking livestock to the mountain and stay in katuns\u00a0 all summer,which is a century-long traditional that is still alive.<\/p>\n<p>Today, within NP Sutjeska there are several active katuns in Zelengora, as well as the katun below the very summit of Mount Magli\u0107. Here you can meet the oldest elements of material and spiritual culture,\u00a0There are 3 buildings in Prijevor, designed in the style of authentic katuns.
