{"id":3882,"date":"2015-08-12T10:49:09","date_gmt":"2015-08-12T08:49:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visitsrpska.org\/stari-grad-kotor\/?lang=en"},"modified":"2016-05-05T12:20:36","modified_gmt":"2016-05-05T10:20:36","slug":"stari-grad-kotor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/visitsrpska.org\/en\/stari-grad-kotor\/","title":{"rendered":"Medieval fortress of Kotor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"background: white; margin: 0in 0in 11.25pt 0in;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Medieval fortress of Kotor is located above the left bank of the Vrbanja River, overlooking the Bobas River , as some call it.<span style=\"color: #222222;\"> There is a legend saying that Hrvoje Vuk\u010di\u0107 Hrvatini\u0107 jumped off his black horse from Ravni \u010cepak onto the fortress Bobas and, as a proof, there is a print of horses&#8217; hooves in hard rock.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; margin: 0in 0in 11.25pt 0in;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"color: #222222;\">According to Bosnian historians of the period, Hrvoje Vuk\u010di\u0107 Hrvatini\u0107 was described as a fighter for free and independent Bosnia. He was very cruel to his opponents, who would always end up in captivity if they confronted him.<br \/>\nKotor was a very important fortress in Jajce banate. It protected the northwest access to Jajce. Town of Kotor was under the Turkish government since 1519.
