There are numerous sites of burial grounds and ste\u0107ak tombstones that have not been sufficiently explored and investigated. The whole area is related to the name and work of Mehmed Pasha Sokolovi\u0107 (Turkish: Sokollu Mehmed Pasha<\/em>), who was born in Sokolovi\u0107i, near Rudo. Several memorials in his birthplace (a mosque, memorial fountain, birth house – according to folklore) are only a small part of the great legacy of Mehmed Pasha Sokolovi\u0107, the patron of the bridge on the Drina in his hometown Vi\u0161egrad.<\/p>\n

Other significant structures of cultural and historical legacy are: monasteries, churches, mosques and historical landmarks of the First and Second World War.<\/p>\n

Rudo municipality offers the following kinds of tourism: hunting, riverside, fishing and rural tourism.<\/p>\n

Within the regional project “Integrated approach to developing tourism in Upper-Drina region,” which is supported by the European Commission, a boat called “Water \u0106iro” was built to carry 12 people, made in the spirit of the old steamboats and is reminiscent of a narrow-gauge train popularly called ‘\u0106iro’, the first train in the former Yugoslavia. Boating on “Water Ciro” along the railway line, on the route Setihovo- Strga\u010dina-Me\u0111e\u0111a- Ustipra\u010da, is an unforgettable experience and a step out into the untouched nature of the spectacular canyon, as well as the rich history of the area.<\/p>\n

The River Lim is rich in fish – common nase, barbel, cactus roach, Danube salmon, while Mount Varda is a habitat for numerous species of wildlife. The most species are: wild boars, deer, rabbits.<\/p>\n
