Fly Fishing

Fly Fishing

The rivers Pliva and Ribnik have long been on the world map for anglers as locations with some of the most attractive areas for fly fishing.

Here, anglers follow the “catch and release” principle, which provides them with the greatest pleasure in this sport of fishing. After being caught, each fish is released and returned to the water.

The water in these rivers is of the highest quality. They are home to fish from the salmonid family (grayling and trout), which is the best indicator of clear water. Thanks to accessible and well-maintained approaches, built infrastructure, and accommodation facilities, Ribnik and Pliva attract many anglers from all over the world.

Sources of the Ribnik River

The sources of the Ribnik River are located about four kilometers from the village of Ribnik at an elevation of 300 meters above sea level. The Pliva River

The Pliva River it’s long 33 kilometers, mostly flows through Šipovo and, together with the Janj River, converges with the Vrbas in Jajce.
