The Cultural Center and Sports plays a major role in the cultural life of the municipality of Srbac, which until May 2008 was named the National University “Ugljesa Kojadinovic”, after the famous actor born in Razboj. The National Library of Srbac has about 23,000 books, and one of the greatest values of the library is its local collection, which includes 300 monographic publications and about 800 other library units related to Srbac. The Serbian Educational and Cultural Society “Prosvjeta” Srbac has a special place in preserving the spirituality and national identity of the Serbian people. “Prosvjeta” gathers cultural creators, and has achieved particularly good results in the field of literary creativity and journalism. Nature

Srbac is located at the confluence of the Vrbas and Sava rivers and abounds in exceptional natural beauty and wealth. What makes the municipality of Srbac particularly interesting in terms of natural values are the areas of Bardaca and Motajica. The very rich flora and fauna of this area represent a very significant tourist resource.

Adventure

The municipality has a large number of picnic areas, some more developed and equipped for visitors and tourists than others. The most popular picnic areas are on Bardača and Motajica, especially during the May Day holidays and the summer season. For those who love adventure, we definitely recommend the Srbac regatta, which takes place on the Vrbas River from the village of Kukulje to the mouth of the Vrbas River into the Sava River.

Gastro

Throughout the year, the municipality hosts numerous tourist, sporting, and cultural events, one of the most important being the “Gastro Fest Srbac-Bardaca”, which is held every year at the beginning of September. The aim of the event is to encourage the exchange of gastronomic cultures of tourist destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighboring countries, as well as to promote the natural, economic, and tourist potentials of the Srbac municipality, which can contribute to a more successful development of the economy at the local level.

In addition to the competition in the preparation of “kotlić” (a traditional Bosnian stew), a mini-fair of folk handicrafts, food, and drinks is organized, in which numerous exhibitors from the entire region participate.

Mountain Motajica

This area is rich in forests. It is an ideal area for the development of hunting tourism, as it is a habitat for many species of high and low game, primarily wild boar, deer and foxes. The highest peak of Motajica is Gradina (652 m), which is also one of the favorite picnic spots for the people of Srbac, as well as the inhabitants of the surrounding places. Motajica provides conditions for the development of excursion tourism, hiking, mushroom and medicinal plant picking, rest, walking and other forms of recreation, in an ecologically preserved environment.

Osovica Monastery

The Osovica Monastery is one of the greatest holy places in Republika Srpska. Although no significant written records have been preserved to this day that would reveal in more detail the spirit of bygone times, due to the difficult and turbulent history of our people, historians assume that the Osovica Monastery is the endowment of a descendant of the noble Nemanjić dynasty, King Stefan Dragutin (1253-1316), the ruler of Srem, Mačva, Usora and Soli.
