Located in the northwestern part of Republic of Srpska, between the Velika and Mala Usora rivers, Borja is named after its expansive pine (bor) forests. The area has long been known as an air spa, with its highest peak, Velika Runjevica, reaching 1077 meters. Its slopes are abundant with coniferous and deciduous forests.

Borja offers numerous trails for walking, running and cycling, making it ideal for both physical and mental rejuvenation. Its stunning mountain setting attracts visitors throughout the whole year, whether for summer or winter activities.
At the foothill of Borja lies the Liplje Monastery, dating back to the 13th century. The journey to the monastery passes through picturesque forests, perfect for recreation and leisure walks.
On the slopes of Borja, at an altitude of 810 meters the Hajducke Vode Sports and Recreation Center is located. The center features volleyball, basketball and handball courts, playgrounds for children, football fields, congress hall, gym, exercise room and a ski slope with a lift.
